Yesterday: Maddie and i went skating. It was cool. Then we continued from the Jurong East MRT to Lavendar. And went to Maddies Judo. actually i found it pretty cool! they did hand stands and were walking (well not all of them but it was way cool). Then they were slamming each other to the ground (this sounds too vicious, but it's not really). Anyway it was fun.

News: I'm totally sad i have to stop skating until the end of the END OF YEAR EXAMS, urgh. Total Bummer! I guess i do have to study, but tomorrows my math CA4 and i'm really scared of it. I think by now there's only 2 more weeks to the EOY exams! ahh.

I am quite happy. I kind of mastered my backwards crossovers, not that good, but at least i managed to cross. But i'm kind of unhappy, its taking me forever to get my coach to test me "Alpha" but i guess i can't be in such a hurry since everyone learns at different speeds.

OMG! i have just heard that Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin has died. I feel sad, i mean i used to watch him on TV, he was really adventourous and all, brave man. Anyway, it came to a shock when i found out he died from "a stingray while filming off the Great Barrier Reef". I still can't believe he died at 44. Hm,again i have to say, i haven't posted in a pretty LONG time.

Last Night:

-oh yay! i finally watched "She's The man", it was really funny!totally rated it 5 stars! now it's on my faves. movie list!

Today:

-Went skating with Nicole, it was fun, well, figure skating is always that way to me.

-Okay, so when i was skating i thought of this weird poem, the only problem is,i totally forgot it,so that's a downpour, but i'll post it when i think of it.

-Did a plan of what i'm going to do on each day of the 1-week holiday, teachers kept saying, this 1-week holiday is supposed to be time for all of you guys to buck up in your weak areas, blah blah, but really what's the point of calling it a "holiday"

hey all, well, here's what i did on the weekend:

Saturday

- Went skating with mom's friend and her daughter and my other two friends
- GOT MY "PRE-ALLPHA" CERT. FOR FIGURE SKATING! YAY! sorry, i'm just really happy that i finally got it it took like a month until it got printed with the all the others skater's certs.
- Skating coach says he would maybe test me on "Alpha" on my next lesson, this upcoming Saturday. I'm excited too, if i pass i'll move on to "Beta"! but i kind of must remember to practice before the lesson. (note-to-self)
- We went to Sentosa to sit on the "Luge" ride in Sentosa, i have to admit, it was pretty fun, even though i was kind of messed up with the "Pull to center to Go, -" ectra
- Two of my friends stayed over until well today, Sunday
- Stayed up to do Lit. essay on "I'm Bringing Totty"

Sunday

- I went to math tuition
- Then went shopping with my parents and two friends
- Here's what i got:

- Converse Trck pants and jacket (for my skating)
- Carrie Underwood CD (for me, i had to pay, duh.)
- Slippers (mine, like the ones i had from "Ice Lemon Tee")

well those were the things that i got. there were of course other thigns that my
mom, dad and cats got.

Hey, okay. I've been sick that's why i missed school on Friday. And i hade to miss skating too, i could soooo faint (get me not die i do not want to die just faint), so i'm feeling better apart from what happening next week. Right now, i'm studying science, difficult chapter heat.

An overlook for next week (i soud like the weather man on TV, hahas)

okay, i'm just doing this for fun, if you want to learn some basic's of a language like:

hey, okay, here's some poetry i wrote on "Wednesday" it's pretty lame, but what do you know? (kidding)

Title: The winning gold

currently i'm learning Chinese, but it's not going very well. But anyways, i really want to learn those languages they seem really interesting, i have no clue who i would speak it to, but i guess when i go and work (which is like in forever, still schooling) it would be useful if i go overseas. I would kind of be like "Miss Japan" on "Miss Universe" ( she was runner-up), as well, she knew so many languages, except English, but she's really talented with languages, i guess. sharpening my blade

okay, it's not that bad, okay, so when i stepped onto the ice, my blades felt slippery, so anyway, during my lesson i toatlly messed up my-about-to-be-good crossovers. so yay, i felt really down, that my crossovers had dissappered. oh, and you need to master crossovers before you start spinning, so anyway, when i got home my dad and i checked the web. to see when i should sharpen my blades, and how to know when to get them sharpened and all, so he looked at my blades and said that i should maybe get my blades sharpened, so that's probably the cause of this whole crossovers thing. anyway:

-i'm pretty bored
-i need to go skating (i seriously can't live without it)
-the lit. test was quite difficult
-i have nothing else to type

EDIT:: my dad just found out it costs $8 and takes 5 minutes! yay!

Anyway, i am supposed to be studying my Lit. for my CA tomorrow, and i did, for about an hour or two then got bored of it. As usual, well kind of, i go skating every Saturday, it's kind of like a new hobby, but more than a hobby to me. Of course. Today in skating class i did these, some were sucessful, kind of, some were not, here's what skating things/moves i did:

anyway, i'm planning to get my parents to maybe get me Soakers for my skating blades which cost $35, i know, not cheap, that's why im still considering, practically it soaks up the extra moisture from the skates after you'ved wiped them.

Figure Skating... you only understand it if you've lived it."

Okay so it's really meaningful,touching and all the other 'beautiful' words you could use to describe it.Just wanted to share this to whoever's reading this. Got to go and well get ready and comfortable for Miss Universe 2006!

Okay, so i haven't posted on Saturday and Sunday until now.Firstly,i am in the middle of studying my History again (SHH..), we have history in our time-table tomorrow so really scared CA is tomorrow.Secondly, today is the HSM (High School Musical for all those who are way bad with acryonms) sing-a-long at 7:30pm on Disney Channel. And i Didn't post yesterday and until now (well only a day and a half) as i've been practicing backwards crossovers, which totally suck as i am only being quite good(i have to say) at the anticlock-wise backwards-crossovers (which is left over right), but totally not getting my clock-wise backwards-crossovers (R-L). Urgh its driving my nuts! I really can't wait till' i can call myself a 'REAL FIGURE SKATER', like when i get my own programme, get to twirl and jump, then i would consider myself real figure skater, but for now i am a really annoyed, crossovering-backwards-falling ice skater.sad.really can't wait.

BMW week is over!

BMW week was officially closed by our principal, that was three non-studying days! whoo hoo. i seriously don't think you care. But anyway, Melanie and I, we bought this book "Horrible Geopgraphy" it was about $21.40, i haven't started reading it yet, just got home from school. I've finally decided to spend my 'time' a bit wiser, well not really, would hardly happen, anyway, today since next week we've got this History CA, here's my planner for today, tomorrow and tomorrow's tomorrow.

FRIDAY:
-1 hour of History (without being distracted by the computer)
-30 minutes to read Literature play "I'm Bringing Totty"

Saturday:
-Figure skating (?)
-Experiment with paint (to find the right colours for Grandma's card)

Sunday:
-Math tuition in the morning (of course, it is not an option)
-Relax with Yoga

Of course there would probably be an interuption of the computer every 30 minutes. But, now it's like 4:47 pm so i'd better start on my History, the Indus Valley Civilisation,..1200 BCE Mohenjo-Daro & Harappa were abandoned, okay so i guess you guys DON'T want to learn anymore of it so see ya!

Projects/Girl Guides (biscuits)/BMW

Urgh, first we had a June holiday assignment on alcohol and somking, which by the way was 30% of our marks, then we had a science project on heat conduction, heat convection and heat radiation, still included in marks, and now, we have to write a poem or do a painting etc. of chapter 3 of our history workbook. urgh, this is driving me nuts! i've luckily finished both science and alcohol/smoking projects so now i'm left with history...we have to pass it up in week 6, so i think i'll most probably start on it tomorrow.

The Girl Guides are selling cookies again. This year i've decided to 'order' a box from them. Hm, i wonder what they taste like. I can't decide on mint or chocolate. They cost:

hm, i think i'd go with chocolate, i mean, then that means my family can share it, because not everyone likes mint. So i guess, i'd buy chocolate,so there goes $10 to the Girl Guides. Wheepee! (i haven't tried them before, but looking forward to eating it "don't i sound greedy right now?", hahas.)

Since it's BMW, which is Book And Music week, school from Wed.-Fri. has no lessons, we're supposed to bring, our pencil cases that's all. Which is good because, well, obviously we won't have to study, thats'f for one, and another thing, we don't have to carry heavy books up the steps. Those are good points. So the bad thing is we finish at around 3:00 instead of the usually day time 2:15 pm. So that gives me around 3hrs or 3hrs 30mins to get ready before tution at 7pm. Maybe some yoga would do the trick. Yoga to me equals:

-Felix trying to attack my yoga mat
-Me trying to get my 'Facing Downward Dog Pose" right, which also equals pain to legs.
-But i could always go with the easy 'Loutus Pose' where i sit there with my legs crossed,going, 'We're all in this together..' and trying to relax with High School Musical playing in the background (they have alot of HSM songs on radioblogclub.com, here's the link: The Link)

If you haven't heard about, STOMP, i can't believe you! (kidding), anyway, their this cool 'recycled' kind of band they do dance,theatre, etc..They use stuff like brooms, bins, poles, sand, matches, bananas, some chalk thing, drumsticks and water. They came to Singapore a few YEARS ago, to bad i missed it! i really, totally, regret missing it. I hardly think the would come back. *sigh* , but their having a performance in Orpheum Theatre, New York. So all in New York, yepee for you! they have a website it's:

I thought i would like to share with whoever is reading this, an excerpt of my story. Right now there are 7 pages, but i'm only going to post 2 pages. Enjoy! Tell me what you think about it in my Taggie board! <3

ONE

“The candle burns out long before,
The wishes ever do,
The glory in freedom is never there so soon,
The fight of it ends up with nightmares and tears,
But giving up is the beginning of your fears...”

I recited and edited my poem over and over again for a part in the budding-poet competition. Okay, first thing, I know, it’s lame…boring…and all round stupid but this was the only competition open. Do you think I have a chance? Well I know Gabs hated it, she hissed at it like it was a stinky mouse hiding under my bed sheets or something. But to me it does rather make no sense. Mom is at her laundry factory again. She said that the machines were having a problem and she had to rush down to see them. You see that? That is my mom caring more about her part-time job as a laundry girl than looking after granny, Gabs, Mr. Lickerish, Dan and me. Granny says it’s all not true and that she cares more about me…blah blah. But I don’t see why granny disagrees with me I mean mom hasn’t given granny her allowance in like two days, (which by the way is a lot for a granny who sits there everyday waiting for her child to give her the money she owes her after those thirty-five years of bringing her up), I think got that from one of those reality shows at the mall while cruising by the “Chocz Heaven” chocolate fondue shop every ten to fifteen minutes. You know that shop could really do a free chocolate tasting session, all in favor say I!

Detention that’s what Dan’s in for again, he was caught trying to….it says here that he was trying to get a date out with Ruby Radford from Dennings street during a Chemistry test. That’s what he’s in for? That is so lame. Dan’s Chemistry teacher, Mr. Blaloooza, tries to get anyone into detention for weird reasons like that, I mean even chewing gum in the lobby means getting detention. What’s with this? Mom keeps Dan’s detention slips in a file under her bed side table. She says she keeps them for reference when she’s run out of excuses to get him to do his homework or to clean his room. I never really went into Dan’s room, but once, I over heard the maid saying to mom that she can cut her fees, but she’s not cleaning Dan’s room EVER.

And then there’s, Mr. Lickerish and Gabs. Mr. Lickerish is just a plain, fat, greedy, cute, tabby cat that sits on your lap every time your holding a burger. So then that’s him. Then there’s Gabs, a beautiful, white, fluffy, medium-sized, blue-eyed, white-long-haired cat. She’s pretty adored by us and all the little kids that walk by this place.

Mondays are ballet, Tuesdays are gymnastics, Wednesdays are Figure skating, Thursdays are mine, Fridays are painting classes, Saturdays are mine, and Sundays are Church days. That’s what my mom calls free, okay so it’s like this. My mom comes through the kitchen pass the little island inside through the corridors and she sees me lying on the beanie and she says “Riley, don’t you have something better to do than to stare at the television all day? Maybe your to free…in fact there are some aerobic lessons going on, maybe you should join in, it’s on Fridays at the community club which is located at the rear end of Shirley Davidson’s academy of music. Take a day off and go. Maybe you’ll be a natural body bender...” she giggles and walks away like she’s not put me in enough for one week. The bad part is she made me give up my free Thursdays for aerobics! So now my weekly planner is jammed-packed, that makes me free only on Saturdays! Just to clear things up my planner is going accordingly as Mondays are ballet, Tuesdays are gymnastics, Wednesdays are Figure skating , Thursdays are (NOW) aerobics, Fridays are painting classes, Saturdays are mine, Sundays are church days.

“Hey…it’s you” Dan said as he walked through the main gate. “Hi to you too. And who’d you think I was? Ruby?"I said as I picked up my nail polish and walked passed him. “Actually yeah..” Dan said. Okay after that moment I knew something was not right and he wanted me to do something really stupid for him. I mean, I know I had her figure, height, and eyebrows but what could he want from me? “What?” I said suspiciously turning back around looking for my nail clipper. “YOU WANT ME TO WHAT?!!” I screamed half way to the top of my lungs. He wanted me to hook him up with his “dreamy” ‘girlfriend’ Ruby. Gosh! “No way. Not now, not ever.” I said as I stomped my way across the room. Was my jock brother that pathetic with girls? Maybe it’s because of the time my granddad taught Dan some ‘tricks’ of getting the girls to go out with him. But I guess it probably triggered his bad ‘dating’ quotes. Too bad for him.

I haven’t really said much about how old everyone in this house really is…okay mom is forty-two, granny is fifty-six, granddad is fifty-nine, Dan is fifteen and I’m seventeen. I know what your thinking, is my granny that young? (for a granny that is) and yeah. The thing is my grandparents and parents got married really young maybe it was when they were in their late twenties. The thing is I never mentioned my dad in any of this, it was my either my pets, granny, granddad, Dan or mom, no dad. It’s because dad went to one of those war-torn-countries for just for a meeting on the ‘Global Health’ topic. Anyway, he said he wanted to go as it was a one-million dollar contract and if he got it he would get fifty-percent of it. Cool huh? But dad never made it back. We never actually knew the ‘full-coverage’ on what had happened. But that was six years back and nowadays we don’t sob over the words like ‘husband’ or ‘dad’ anymore we kind of got use to it not having him here.

Lesley Stella is very much the only high school junior, fourteen years old, who has a limo that picks her up and drives her to school. Her dad owns a major macaroni and cheese company that sells in a snap. It’s like every time the shopkeeper opens a new box of macaroni and cheese boxes to put on the shelves, the customers are already giving her the eye which kind of says ‘hand over the macaroni and cheese or else…’ it kind of gets freaky when you see old grannies hitting men on the head saying “you should always give what is yours to your elders, now hand it over!” and the granny lifts up her purse about to hit an innocent customer. Okay so maybe it’s not that violent, I over-reacted but, Yup, that’s how popular and ‘violent’ the macaroni and cheese really is. But I have a V.I.P access to the macaroni and cheese and she sells it to me whenever my mom can’t find it in the supermarket down on K. Street. Lesley isn’t really as stuck up and spoilt as Ruby. Actually Lesley is my best friend and we have been ever since my dad made a contract deal with her dad’s company. What I don’t get is what would my dad’s company want with a macaroni and cheese company? So that’s about how Lesley and I became best friends.

“It’s ten o’clock Dan handover the laptop, you know I have a booking at this time..” I said as I unplugged the earplugs from the laptop. “Hey! I was listening to that! And fine take it I’m already done reading half the history of your MSN conversations, well that packs this one up” Dan laughed as he jumped over the sofa heading towards the tub of ‘Bens & Jerrys’ ice-cream that mom tries to hid away from him. Got to tell mom that she should hid it in the stinky cabbage drawer even I couldn’t open that!

Mom had called me down for one of those ‘lectures’. And this time it was about what I said to granny, it was “you see that granny? mom cares more about her dumb job as a laundry girl rather than looking after you, Dan, Mr. Lickerish , Gabs and me” it was not exactly that, but it was somewhere along those lines. “I can’t believe you said that about me I mean I do this job for a living and if I don’t care about this job you’d be starving for life and would be wearing the same underwear every day!” mom as she sat on the leather rocking chair placing her hand at her head. I think she was thinking of a punishment for me.

I just don’t get it why couldn’t mom get a cool job like an artist, a wildlife conservationist, a physiatrist, or something other than this. I mean it’s not easy saying your mom’s a laundry girl is it? But on the other hand mom’s actually right. She does have to earn a living for us and probably send me to University. “Do you understand? I don’t want to be separated from you to do my job but I must, if your father…..” mom mumbled something towards the end and walk towards the kitchen to feed the cats.
